LookAfter may be used by a carer, family member, or support worker to help manage the health information of another person (the "care recipient"). Before doing so, you must ensure that the care recipient has given their informed consent for you to access and manage their health information using this app.
You must handle the care recipient's data with care, discretion, and in accordance with their wishes. You must not share their health information with any third party without their explicit consent. You are responsible for ensuring that consent remains valid and up to date.
Health information is special category data under UK GDPR. When you use LookAfter on behalf of another person, you take on responsibility for handling that data lawfully. AyTay Ltd accepts no responsibility for any unauthorised access to, or misuse of, another person's health data through the app.

LookAfter stores all data locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal health information on our servers. The data you enter — including medicines, conditions, diary entries, appointments, and contacts — remains entirely on your device and under your control. We do not use analytics tools, advertising trackers, or third-party data processors within the app.
Health information is classified as special category data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Because LookAfter stores this data locally on your device and does not transmit it to any server, AyTay Ltd does not act as a data controller or data processor of your health information.
LookAfter does not share your data with any third party. PDF reports generated within the app are created locally on your device. You choose if and how to share them. AyTay Ltd has no access to these reports.
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise your data rights directly by editing or deleting information within the app, or by uninstalling the app entirely.
